The Aviary

The Aviary is Emu's collection of moments with you. Landmark Emus for the milestones along the way, Stories comics drawn from your week, painterly habitats Emu stands on, and the rhythm card that only ever grows. Personal artifacts, not trophies.

Personal artifacts, not trophies

The Aviary is a dedicated sidebar destination. It celebrates your relationship with Emu through hand-built landmarks, on-device companions Emu designed for you, and hidden easter eggs. Framed as personal artifacts, not trophies. There is no XP, no badges, no points, no levels. Nothing to lose.

The rhythm card is positive-only. It celebrates the days and weeks you have spent with Emu and never guilts a miss. No "streak broken." No countdown. A quiet day never sets it back.

Landmark Emus

Landmarks are hand-built Emus for moments along the way. A few examples:

  • Day One Emu. You and Emu, from the very beginning.
  • The Architect. You wrote custom instructions for how Emu should judge.
  • The Compiled. Your rulebook is live. Emu is judging with your words woven in.
  • The Watchful. A full day on watch together.
  • The Steadfast. A hundred hours on watch.
  • The Eternal Watch. Five hundred hours. Emu has been with you through it all.
  • Memory Keeper. A hundred memories kept, all on this machine.
  • The Archivist. A thousand memories.
  • The Masked. You turned on masking.
  • Garden Tender. You are watching a local tool server.
  • First Call. You made your first call on an action Emu flagged. You and Emu decided together.
  • The Storyteller. Emu made you your first comic.
  • The Chronicler. Your first weekly recap.
  • The Ambassador. You shared Emu, and a friend joined.

Seasonal landmarks (Winter, Summer, Spring, Autumn Emu) appear when the season turns. Easter eggs (The Konami Emu, The Night Owl, The Early Bird, The Self-Aware Emu, The Whispered Name, The April Emu) stay hidden until you find them.

Stories

Stories are comics Emu makes from your AI memories. Each week Emu turns what happened into a little pixel-art comic you can flip through like a storybook. Mostly warm. Sometimes the moment Emu stepped in. Yours to keep, or share with a friend.

You can also ask Emu to "Make me a comic" for a range (last day, last week, last month). Emu draws one on demand in 10 to 60 seconds. The cover tags "Emu stepped in" if the comic contains a guardian moment, so the partnership shows up in the story.

Habitats

Habitats are the painterly worlds Emu stands on. Sixteen stages, auto-selected by time of day, rotating daily among ties. A few:

  • Sunlit Meadow. A clear blue sky and a bright green hill. Emu on watch in broad daylight.
  • Starfield. Emu keeping watch under a thousand tiny lights.
  • Cherry Bloom. A cherry tree in full blossom over a bright green hill. Spring, held still.
  • Aurora Isle. Northern lights over a floating meadow. A week of nights well kept.
  • Thunderhead. Lightning all around and Emu standing calm in the middle of it. Shocks anything that comes for you.
  • The Summit. A tower on a hill above the clouds, biplanes circling at sunset. A landmark for a month of days together.

Two hidden habitats (Arcade World, Duck Meadow) wait for the curious. Two paid habitats (Sky Voyage for Solo, Crew Campfire for Team) come with the companions when you upgrade.

The rhythm card

The rhythm card sits at the top of the Aviary. It says:

N days with Emu, across W weeks. This week you have spent D days together. The rhythm only ever grows. A quiet day never sets it back.

The more days you keep Emu on watch, the more this grows. It only counts up. There is nothing to lose.
