Model Risk Management (SR 11-7)
Trinitite as a Model Risk Management platform. The governance, evidence, and lifecycle controls that map to Federal Reserve SR 11-7 and the NIST AI RMF — so a model can be developed, validated, deployed, and monitored under a defensible MRM program.
What it is
Model Risk Management is the lens through which a regulated institution manages AI model risk across the full lifecycle. Trinitite provides the substrate an MRM program runs on: policy-as-enforcement (development governance), signed eval evidence (validation), promotion gates (deployment), and continuous drift + attestation (monitoring). Where a traditional MRM program produces documents, a Trinitite-backed one produces signed artifacts — the same evidence an examiner asks for, generated continuously rather than assembled annually.
Why it matters
- MRM is the regulatory entry point for AI at banks. SR 11-7 and the NIST AI RMF are the frameworks examiners apply; mapping cleanly to them is the price of admission.
- Validation evidence, not validation narrative. A Guardian eval run is a signed artifact a validator can reproduce — materially stronger than a validation memo.
- Monitoring is continuous. Continuous Assurance drift detection replaces "we review the model annually" with "we know the day the model's behavior changed."
- Lifecycle gates. A model promotes only when its Eval Harness matrix clears your risk threshold — the gate is automated and auditable.
How it maps
| SR 11-7 / NIST AI RMF area | Trinitite surface | Signed artifact |
|---|---|---|
| Governance & policies | Policy Intelligence, Governance Controls | Policy hash, control state |
| Model development | Guardian Training, Boundary Miner | Training job receipt |
| Independent validation | Evals, Eval Harness, Red Team | Signed eval run, safety score |
| Deployment & change | Promotion gates, version pinning | Guardian version + policy hash |
| Ongoing monitoring | Continuous Assurance, Hidden-Signal Insights | Daily attestation, drift signal |
| Reporting | Enterprise Reporting, Evidence & Verification | Attestation report, verify bundle |
Get started
- Map your model inventory to Guardian-governed surfaces.
- Stand up validation suites in the Eval Harness.
- Wire Continuous Assurance into your monitoring cadence.
- Generate examiner-ready attestation reports via the Attestation & Compliance API.
→ Compliance Coverage — the framework crosswalk. → Eval Harness — validation evidence. → Continuous Assurance — ongoing monitoring.
